Description
Nonhalogenated glucocorticoid with high first pass metabolism in the liver and is therefore associated with fewer adverse effects than some other systemic corticosteroids.
Indications: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in dogs
Dosage:
Dogs:
3–7 kg: 1 mg q24h
7.1–15 kg: 2 mg q24h
15.1–30 kg: 3 mg q24h
>30 kg: 5 mg PO q24h
